Nalini Persram is Associate Professor in the Department of Social Science. She has published in the areas of West Asian politics, feminist theory, international political theory, Caribbean society and culture, and postcolonialism. Her new book, Reckoning with Revolutionary Yemen Under Saudi-American Bombs (Palgrave Macmillan 2025), is a critical analysis of the military intervention in Yemen and the role of Ansar Allah. Her current teaching interests include crisis and critical thought under democratic collapse; slums and subaltern subjectivity; and theorizing resilience.
