Glen Norcliffe has been a faculty member of the Department of Geography at York University since 1970. His research is focused on industry, trade and development, framed in a cultural political economy perspective.

His current research, funded by a SSHRC Insight Development Grant, explores the potential of various types of adaptive cycles to assist persons with disability. His fieldwork is focused on makers of adaptive bikes in North America, Western Europe and Indonesia, and users in North America and Indonesia. Glen has published or edited 12 books and over 120 professional articles and chapters during his career.
