Abstract: In this lecture, I will first introduce how the geographic differences in population density and population dispersal affect the basic reproduction numbers of COVID-19 transmission in China. Then I will present a spatial model to simulate the epidemic spread of COVID-19 through both contact transmissions and indirect transmission from a contaminated environment. I will then use the model to mimic the spread of COVID-19 in Heilongjiang province, China. Our model simulation fits well with the data of COVID-19 resurgence of this province.
