Your Child's Orientation to The Early Learning Centre at York University

Your child’s first experience in our childcare setting will be a very exciting one for the family. The goal of our orientation is to lay the foundation for a partnership between the centre and the home. For the peace of mind of both you and your child, it is recommended that you introduce your child to The Early Learning Centre at York University gradually. Please arrange to spend some time at the centre prior to your child’s start date. Our schedule is flexible, and the staff are available to assist you in establishing an alternative schedule.

You and your child’s morning will include a tour of the classroom and an introduction to your child’s new friends. It is recommended that you and your child leave together after an hour.

Today’s visit will include an opportunity to play outside in our  playground or go for a walk. It is recommended that you leave after an hour.

Your child will have another opportunity to play outside. Lunch will follow a morning of fun filled activities. It is recommended that you leave after 30 minutes.

Today's visit will include an opportunity to rest to soft music. It is recommended that you leave after 20 minutes.

 A whole day of fun at YUCDC. It is recommended that you leave after 10 minutes. A full week of visits has come to an end.
