Innovatus, a special issue of YFile, explores how York University community members are expanding experiential learning, enhancing the student experience, internationalizing curriculum and inspiring innovation in technology-enhanced learning. Stories highlight new and exciting approaches in higher education at York University.
Launched in February 2017, Innovatus is produced out of the Office of the Associate Vice-President Teaching & Learning in partnership with Communications & Public Affairs.

Welcome to the April 2023 issue of 'Innovatus'
This month's issue shines the spotlight on the Faculty of Education as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. A number of the the faculty's professors have translated their research and experience into books such as:
- First-Generation Student Experiences in Higher Education
- Equity and Human Rights in Special Education: Critical Reflective Practice Guide
- Spatialized Injustice in the Contemporary City: Protesting as Public Pedagogy
The faculty has also introduced four new Technological Education Additional Qualification (AQ) courses in the areas of green industries, health care, hospitality and tourism, and hairstyling and aesthetics.
