Development Coordinator Volunteer

Placement Organization: World Animal Protection
Position Title: Development Coordinator Volunteer
Location: In-person

About the Company

World Animal Protection is an international animal welfare organization with 75 years of experience working to improve the lives of animals around the world. In Canada, we work to create a more humane and sustainable world for animals. Our work focuses on improving the welfare of farmed animals and protecting wild animals.

Farming work
We work with farmers, the agricultural sector, governments, businesses and other organizations to promote better practices and drive meaningful change. Our work on farmed animals includes supporting higher-welfare farming systems and increasing the production and consumption of plant-based foods.

Wildlife work
We also work to protect wild animals by challenging systems that treat them as commodities or resources to be exploited (entertainment, pets, fashion, and other products).

Through our campaigns and advocacy, we aim to improve animal welfare while supporting healthier, more sustainable food systems and protecting wildlife and the natural world.
