Mentee Application

As a mentee, you will be matched with a mentor who works in your career field of interest. Together, you will set goals, build career skills, and learn about career and education options. You will meet with your mentor online twice a month to ask questions, get support, and learn from their work and lived experience. Your mentor will help you make a plan and work toward your goals. You will build your skills, knowledge, and confidence as you prepare for your future career. We encourage you to take an active role in the program by asking questions, sharing ideas, and using feedback to help you learn and grow.

The program runs from October to March. You will meet your mentor online twice a month for one hour each meeting.

Eligibility

To apply as a mentee, you must be a third- or fourth-year York University student with lived experience of disability. You should have an idea of your future career goals or the type of work you want to explore.

As a mentee, you will be matched with a mentor who also has lived experience of disability. Your mentor will help you learn about workplace barriers, accessibility, and accommodations. They will answer your questions, share their experiences, and support you as you prepare for your future career.
