2NA Presents: Nurses Against Sexual Violence Series Part 2

ALL YORK NURSING STUDENTS ARE WELCOME.

This event is being held in partnership with the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault (DASA) unit at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, and will build on the foundational skills addressed in the Part 1: Active Bystander Training event.

Topics that will be covered include the roles of forensic nurses, how to recognize the signs and communicate with victims of human trafficking, communication strategies used to implement trauma-informed care, and the ways in which we can support victims in accessing care following events of sexual violence and domestic abuse.
