No prior experience is required since we will be providing you with In-Depth Training!
Who We Are
Discover You is an independent organization within York University that aims to deliver free, online, and interactive workshops regarding communication, interviews, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, to high school and undergraduate students. We strongly believe that our modules can provide students with a path to discovering their true potential. The Discover You Program is geared towards connecting Peer Coaches with undergraduate and high school students, by assisting their transition into post-secondary. Our primary focus entails helping undergraduate and high school scholars through Professional Development workshops and other support systems.
What You Will Gain
- Skills and professional development in many areas including content development, event facilitation, public speaking, design, promotions, website design, and organization.
- Experience working with programs like Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Forms), website design programs, Canva, and more.
- A reference letter from the Co-Presidents upon completion of all responsibilities!
- Leadership experience working in an executive student team
