Head of CCSC Welcome & Vision
Welcome to Calumet and Stong College!
At Calumet and Stong Colleges, our vision is to help students flourish and succeed academically, socially, and physically throughout their time in the Faculty of Health. From mentorship and tutoring to creative arts and social events, we provide opportunities to both give and receive support. Each person on our team, including volunteers, work study students, faculty, and staff, is committed to supporting students in reaching their full potential at York.
We provide support to many student-led clubs and associations, including those that represent our units within the Faculty (Psychology, Kinesiology, Nursing, Health Studies, and Global Health). I encourage you to get involved with these clubs! They are an excellent opportunity to form lasting connections with both students and faculty, and to impact important change in your area.
Several of the programs we offer are aimed at supporting students within specific courses, such as Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) and our Course Representative program. Others are aimed at providing leadership opportunities and training to strengthen your skills toolbox as you prepare to enter your chosen career (LEAD; FPLT), and research opportunities centering on community engagement (Agents of Change).
Please explore more of what we have to offer here on our website, or drop by in person. We look forward to seeing you!
