Pre-Identification (Prospect Stage)
Synonym(s): N/A
Pre-identification is a step used by Research (Advancement), Annual Giving and Leadership Giving (Advancement) to define groups of potential donors for further analysis (specifically capacity and inclination). This also allows grouping for mass distribution to these portfolios.
No fundraiser has been granted clearance for assignment at this stage.
No prospect expected amount has been declared, nor an expected date set to receive the donation. Other attributes of the prospect can be established after the first initial research is conducted, but it is subject to modification once there is an assigned fundraiser.
