High School Average (Ontario High School Student)

Synonym(s): N/A

A high school average is the average grade that York University uses to determine a high school student's eligibility for admission. The courses used to calculate the average must meet specific prerequisites and minimum grade requirements for the program the student applied to.

For admissions, the term high school average specifically refers to averages calculated for applicants who are current Ontario high school students. These averages will be re-calculated multiple times throughout the admissions process as the Office of Admissions receives updated grades.
