Admit Average
Synonym(s): N/A
Admit average is the high school average (Ontario high school student) used to determine a student's admissibility to York and is frozen at the point a student is offered admission to a specific program (academic). Depending on when an admission decision was made, the admit average can include a combination of midterm and final grade 11 (3U/M) and grade 12 (4U/M) grades. The admit average may be different than a student's final average, which includes all final grade 12 (4U/M) grades.
The admit average will always include ENG 4U or its equivalent (e.g. ENG 3U) and any prerequisites required for the specific program. The admit average is a calculated average of the grades from six courses.
