An application choice is the rank of an applicant's preference for a particular program. For example, an applicant's most preferred program is their first choice.

An applicant can order their university and program (academic) choices when applying through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre or order their program choices when applying with the York University Online Application.

Application choice is not used in the admission process and has no impact on whether or not an applicant receives an offer of admission. Application choice is used in projecting the number of applicants likely to accept an offer of admission and is used in enrolment modelling.
