Course Withdrawal Period
Synonym(s): N/A
A course withdrawal period is the time frame when an undergraduate student is able to withdraw (drop) from a course and receive a notation of W on their transcript for that course.
Students can withdraw from a course between the last day to drop a course without academic penalty and the last day of class for the period associated with the course. When students withdraw from a course, the course remains on the transcript without a grade and is notated as W. The withdrawal will not impact the grade point average or count towards the credits required for the degree.
Course withdrawal period dates can be found on a per-term basis on the Office of the University Registrar Important Dates website under Add/Drop dates.
