A volunteer activity is any one-off or continuing undertaking for York University freely done by a supporter of the University. An activity is generally some kind of action and includes planning or other volunteer governance role. 

Volunteer activities include guest lectures, hosting or emceeing events, panel discussions, public advocacy, mentorship, service on a board, planning events and assisting in student recruitment.
