A one-time gift is a transaction that is not a pledge payment or associated with a pledge, but is a single payment with no further expectation of payments to be received. e.g. a cheque or credit card donation.

Gift and one-time gift are sometimes used interchangeably (along with donation and transaction), but they refer to the two different types of transactions.
