Executive Solicitor

Executive Solicitor

Synonym(s): N/A

An executive solicitor is a York University staff member who is not a professional fundraiser, yet has an assignment (Advancement) on a proposal and is involved in the submission of a proposal. Generally, this is a high-ranking individual such as a Dean, Vice President or the President of the University.

While an executive solicitor may be the one actively engaging the prospect (Advancement) in the solicitation, the solicitor is considered the lead and owner of the proposal. The executive will always work in collaboration with the solicitor.
