Co-Curricular Record
Synonym(s): CCR
The Co-Curricular Record (CCR) tracks student engagement and participation in co-curricular activities and organizations throughout the University experience.
The CCR provides students with a chance to connect their experiences to skills that employers and graduate schools might require. Students record their activities and evaluate the meaning of their experiences. The CCR is used as a reference to articulate the student's accomplishments and skills when writing a resumé, curriculum vitae (CV) or cover letter when applying for jobs or graduate/professional school.
The general purpose of the CCR includes the following:
- Encourages and recognizes student engagement.
- Supports learning that occurs outside of the classroom as a result of students’ experiences through purposeful reflection.
- Enhances students’ confidence in their leadership capacity using intuitive online reflection tools and an action plan.
- Provides students with a tool to articulate their co-curricular accomplishments and skills on a resumé, cover letter or CV.
