The Québec Permanent Code is a government identification number created by the Québec Ministry of Education. At York University, the code is used on financial aid and tax forms for students from Québec.

The code is a unique identifier assigned by the Ministry to all students who attend an educational institution in Québec regardless of where they come from or their residency status.
