The Mad Studies Hub (MSH) is a research centre grounded in the fields of Mad Studies and critical mental health at York University, Toronto, Canada. Foregrounding epistemologies of lived/living experience and centering inquiry on the relationship between oppression and mental health, we support excellence in social justice-informed research with direct policy and practice impacts.

The overall objective of the MSH is to synthesize synergies across disciplines, geographies, and perspectives to work toward dismantling all oppressive structures and building affirmative, community-grounded responses to distress and understandings of mental health.
