YCAR research associate, Lynne Milgram's article, "From Street to Store to Shopping Mall: Extralegal Zones of Commerce for Pirated Audio-Visual Goods in Baguio, the Philippines", was recently published in Soujourn: Journal of Social Issues in Southeast Asia (vol. 30, no. 3).  The article examines how the language of "extralegality" organizes urban commercial spaces to the advantage of both the vendors and the authorities.
