YCAR Graduate Associate Jacqueline Ristola’s (Cinema and Media Studies) first paper has been published in Animation Studies, an open access online journal by the Society for Animation Studies. In “Recreating Reality: The Documentary Genre with Waltz With Bashir and Persepolis,” she examines how animated documentaries assert their documentary genre classification through marketing and other materials in an attempt to represent reality.
