Earlier this week, York University announced the new York Research Chairs (YRC), and two YCAR Faculty Associates are on this list of appointments that showcases York’s research excellence: Taien Ng-Chan (Cinema and Media Arts), appointed as York Research Chair in Marginal & Emergent Media, and Cary Wu (Sociology) as York Research Chair in Political Sociology of Health. On behalf of the YCAR community, our warmest congratulations to both of them on this significant achievement.

It is notable that the YCAR faculty associates are visible in the new YRC appointments, two out of a total of 15, which is not only YCAR’s pride but also an indication of YCAR’s research strength and impact. We will continue to support our associates to achieve their professional development and research excellence, as showcased by Taien and Cary.
