Sikh Diaspora

I am a PhD student in Humanities at York University and my research brings together Sikh studies, memory, migration, media and postcolonial thought. My work explores how histories of violence and resistance are remembered across generations and borders, particularly through Punjabi music, oral traditions, and cultural expression. Alongside my academic research and teaching, I am also working on documenting, analyzing, and debunking misinformation and disinformation affecting Sikhs in Canada. My broader interests include diaspora, identity, human rights and the ways communities use culture and storytelling to preserve memory and negotiate belonging.
