Sadia M. Malik is Assistant Professor of Economics at York University. She is an empirical economist with interests in comparative international development and health economics with a regional focus on South Asia. Dr Malik holds diverse professional experience that includes research, teaching, and policy advocacy. Prior to her appointment at York University, she has worked as Research Director, Mahbub ul Haq Human Development Centre in Pakistan. Dr Malik is the current recipient of a SSHRC IDG grant: The Effect of Retirement on Physical and Mental Health in Canada.
Her recent paper in Canadian Public Policy (with Anfal Adawi and Ida Ferrara) is Effect of Retirement on Life Satisfaction in Canada: Evidence from the 2008–2009 Canadian Community Health Survey–Healthy Aging.
