Peter is a doctoral student in the geography program at the University of Guelph. His research explores issues of sustainability and environmental justice through an examination of governance conflicts concerning livelihoods, land and fisheries for Indigenous and other marginalized peoples. He holds an MA in Geography from York University and a BA in Environmental Science from Colorado College. Previously, Peter was a field instructor and academic coordinator at the International Sustainable Development Studies Institute (ISDSI) in Thailand and a Peace Corps volunteer in Sierra Leone. He has published articles on community-engaged research, the impact of COVID-19 on migrant fish workers, and community-based conservation of inland fisheries in Thailand.
