About

I had my PhD in Statistics from Simon Fraser University in 2020. After completing my doctoral studies, I joined Brock University as an Assistant Professor and later joined York University in 2024 in the same role.

My research focuses on sports analytics, machine learning, large language models, functional data analysis, and nonparametric statistics. I am particularly interested in applying modern statistical tools to derive insights from sports data and enhance decision-making in sports. I enjoy watching sports (basketball, soccer, baseball, skating, snooker, poker, and more). Many of my research ideas are inspired by observing sports.

In addition to my work in sports analytics, I am also interested in exploring theoretical aspects of statistical models and their applications in areas such as biostatistics, health, finance, and business.
