São Paulo 2004

Sister Watersheds team explores the Tietê River by boat, and visits the Embù neighbourhood and a floodwater retention pool near Pirajussara Creek. Note the water-themed mural decorating a local house -- residents' vision of the watershed they'd like to live in.

Toronto 2005

Sister Watersheds team explores the Humber River and Black Creek watershed, including the Finch Avenue washout and the headwaters of Black Creek in Vaughan, and discusses the project in a York seminar.

Toronto 2006

Brazilian exchange students trace Black Creek from the Humber to its source in Vaughan. A new culvert carries the creek under Finch Avenue.

Brazil 2007

Sister Watersheds team visits Piracicaba, a Pirajussara environmental education workshop, and holds a project seminar at the University of São Paulo.
