By challenging ourselves to deepen this work over the next five years, and to track and report on our contributions, we reaffirm our longstanding York values of social justice, equity, sustainability, and excellence in all that we do.

Partnerships

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) and York University are proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two organizations to formalize their long-standing relationship. The MOU highlights potential areas of collaboration and lays out a process for working together on specific projects and initiatives.

World Wildlife Fund Canada

World Wildlife Fund Canada is the country's largest conservation organization, with a mission to reverse the decline of wildlife. WWF Canada's Living Planet Leader program encourages students in the practice of sustainability and the protection of nature on campus and beyond. Learn more about how to sign up here.

Recycle Your Batteries Canada!

Through the partnership, the University has installed battery bins across campuses, with exact locations available through the Interactive Campus Map. Recycle Your Batteries Canada! initiative allows the York U community to safely recycle household batteries, which can create environmental damage if they end up in landfills, releasing toxic chemicals that seep into soil and harm ecosystems.
