“Access" at York encompasses a range of meanings and initiatives to foster success – from pathways and programs to welcome and support students from non-traditional backgrounds to the elimination of physical and structural barriers to university study, to the offering of courses and programs at a variety of times in classroom settings or online in response to students’ needs. Glendon College is the only university in Toronto where it is possible to complete your studies in French giving another dimension of access at York.
Programs and Services
York offers a variety of access and bridging programs as pathways to post-secondary education. Some examples of programs include: bridging programs for internationally educated professionals, college transfer initiatives, women’s bridging programs, and programs for non-traditional and disadvantaged students.
York’s service units provide a range of support services that enrich the student experience.
