Vision
Our vision is to serve as York University’s hub for faculty/librarians/archivists’ success, supporting every stage of their journey—from recruiting talent to fostering an inclusive and supportive community where all feel they belong, promoting excellence in teaching and student learning, and cultivating academic leadership and lifelong career growth.
Alignment
Our work aligns with York University’s University Academic Plan. We are committed to fostering an environment where professors thrive as educators, recognizing that student learning, success, and experience across all backgrounds are central priorities at York University. The team works towards championing the recruitment, retention, and advancement of talented and diverse faculty members. We believe that the goal of Living Well Together begins on our campuses. Our work is grounded in collaboration with Faculties and administrative units across the University.
Our Work
To better serve our community, the Office of the Vice-Provost Faculty has integrated the team formerly known as Faculty Affairs and expanded its mandate. Our enhanced team focuses on faculty recruitment and hiring, immigration and relocation support, faculty and teaching development, career advancement, leadership development, scholar support, and the cultivation of a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
