The Office of the Vice-Provost Academic at York University invites students to join a new Student Working Group on Quality Assurance.
The group provides a collaborative forum for students to share ideas and feedback aimed at enhancing the University’s academic program review processes. The initiative is part of York’s commitment to improving student engagement in its Quality Assurance Procedures (YUQAP).
Quality assurance at York, and across Ontario universities, is governed by the Ontario Universities Council on Quality Assurance. The process includes program reviews that incorporate student feedback to ensure academic programs meet provincial standards and continue to evolve to meet student needs.
Students who join the working group will have the opportunity to contribute to University-wide efforts to improve the student experience. Members will collaborate with faculty, staff and University leaders to promote student participation in quality assurance activities.
Participants will meet two to three times per term, with flexible scheduling and options for in-person or online attendance. Those who complete a full year of participation will receive a certificate from the Office of the Vice-Provost Academic.
Students from all programs and year levels are encouraged to apply to ensure a diversity of perspectives. Applications can be submitted online.
