Minority Rights in China: Policy Debates and Learning from the Outside World
A talk by ShaoQing Zhou, Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Visiting Scholar, York Centre for Asian Research (YCAR)
Dr Zhou will offer a general picture of minority policy in China and discuss in detail the current debate on China’s ethnic policy. He will also consider what might be learned from Canadian and American models of multiculturalism in dealing with ethnic minority issues in China.
