Remembrance Day Ceremony 2025

The York University community is invited to attend the annual Remembrance Day ceremonies which will be taking place in person at the Keele, Glendon and Markham campuses. Remembrance Day honours the men and women who were killed during the two world wars and other conflicts. Previously known as Armistice Day, it was renamed Remembrance Day after the Second World War.

Keele Campus Ceremony:
Date: Tues. Nov. 11 @ 10:30 a.m.
Location: Harry W. Arthurs Common flagpole

Glendon Campus Ceremony:
Date: Tues. Nov. 11 @ 10:30 a.m.
Location: Glendon flagpole, West Quad (York Hall)

Markham Campus Ceremony:
Date: Tues. Nov. 11 @ 10:30 a.m.
Location: The East Green flagpole

Donation boxes for poppies are available at all campuses:

  • Glendon Campus – Leslie Frost Library  
  • Markham Campus – Markham Campus Library
