Community Update #29 - Shoppers Drug Mart in York Lanes Offers COVID-19 Vaccines

As part of Ontario’s pharmacy pilot, Shoppers Drug Mart in York Lanes is now making the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine available to those between 60-64 years of age. The pilot started on March 11 at this location and is part of a wider strategy to deliver vaccines in Toronto, Kingston and Windsor.

Vaccinations will be offered by appointment and bookings can only be made over the phone by calling: 416-514-0993. At this location, Shoppers Drug Mart will be extending their hours of operation between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to accommodate appointments.

Appointments are open to anyone who works, studies or lives in Ontario, within this age bracket. While bookings are underway, spots will depend on vaccine availability as the pilot continues. Here is what you need to know for your appointment:

  • Bring a valid health card or alternative government issued ID
  • Appointments will be scheduled 10 minutes apart, as time will be required to complete a consent form and check in with the pharmacy.
  • You will be required to wait for 15 minutes after receiving your vaccine for observation by staff, prior to checking out.
