Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards

Get the best of both worlds! One of the nice things about being a Glendon student is that you can apply for both Glendon AND York awards. Glendon offers a lot of opportunities for you to receive funding while you study. In order to be eligible to the automatic entrance scholarships or to apply to other scholarships, bursaries and awards, you must first have the following elements in place:

If you’re a new student who just submitted your admission application to Glendon/York, you need to create your MyFile account and set up you Passport York in order to receive or apply for any funding.

  • Create a MyFile account
    • Shortly after you submit your application, you will receive an acknowledgment e-mail from York University, providing you with a reference number to track your application status in our applicant portal, MyFile.
    • MyFile is the portal where you submit all your application documents, and this is also what the university uses to determine whether you are eligible to receive automatic entrance funding, so it’s important that you upload all the documents required.
  • Set Up Passport York
    • Passport York is York and Glendon’s primary method of online authentication and gives you access to various online services for students.
    • If you are a new student and have not yet signed up for Passport York, the first time you go to an application that requires the Passport York login, click the New Student Sign Up link under the New to Passport York? heading. On the next screen, enter your student number and date of birth and click the Sign Up button. Follow the instructions.

If you’re a current student, you must ensure that your Student Financial Profile is completed at the start of each academic session.

  • Create Your Student Financial Profile
    • Your Student Financial Profile (or SFP) is a multi-purpose online application form that is used to apply for scholarships, bursaries and on-campus employment programs. You should complete the SFP at the start of each academic session (once for Fall/Winter and once for Summer) to be considered for these programs.
    • You need to have a Passport York login in order to set up your Student Financial Profile. Instructions on how to set up your SFP can be found here.
