Research Topic:
My proposed research focuses on social, political, and environmental dimensions of global sand mining. I am interested in how sand extraction, particularly overextraction, contributes to environmental degradation, violence, displacement, and conflicts over natural resources. Utilizing a political ecology lens, I aim to examine how extractive practices intersect with environmental justice, governance, and human rights. I am also interested in exploring whether ecofeminism and related approaches, such as the rights of nature, can offer additional insights into the growing sand crisis
