How to Apply

Applying to the graduate program in Geography is clear and simple. Your first step is to contact professors you’d like to work with, and explain why you are interested in their research program and what skills and passion you can bring to their lab. Once you’ve found a potential supervisor go online and complete the application to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. You will need contact information for three references, your transcripts, your statement of interest and your curriculum vitae.

Please note the number of funded PhD positions is unfortunately very limited, and thus these funded offers for international students are very competitive.  You also cannot be admitted unless you have discussed your application with a potential supervisor.  If you are not a Canadian Permanent Resident or citizen and plan to apply, we suggest you contact the graduate program office or graduate program director to discuss your application as well as potential supervisors. We encourage you to visit our Faculty Profile page to learn more about our professors and potential supervisors.
