Description:

We’re excited to have you join us on “Girls Explore Math” Day at York University! It is a part of “Explore Science” Day organized by “WISE” (Women in Science and Engineering).

EXPLORE SCIENCE! is a FREE fun-filled day for girls from K – Grade 12 to interact with hands-on activities in chemistry, physics, biology, computer science, geology, and more!

Come and EXPLORE what it’s like to be in STEM for a day with over 20 exciting activities—experiencing virtual reality, see how light is converted into electrical energy, and learn how to code a simple calculator. Visit labs, get hands-on experience and have fun. Win prizes by visiting a number of booths throughout the day!

Math4Real joined with Experimental Math Lab will hold three workshops on hand-on activities exploring the ideas behind mathematics and their applications.

Our Mission: To encourage girls to gain an interest in science by showcasing different fields of STEM and real-life examples. We want to open doors for girls and present them with opportunities for their future.

Snacks will be provided.
