How IM2C works

This is a true team competition. A team may consist of up to four secondary students enrolled in the same school.  The team will work for 5 consecutive days on the modeling problem over the period between March 8 to April 19, 2022.  Each team needs an advisor who will make sure that the students follow the rules and procedures during the contest. The students are able to use any inanimate resources.

In 2018, IM2C contest is held for all high schools in Canada for the first time.  It consists of two rounds of competition. In the first round, national teams will work on the problem provided by IM2C committee and will submit their solutions to an expert panel for evaluations. The two best papers will be selected by the panel before May 4, 2022 and will represent Canada to join the international competition. The final judging at the international stage will be completed in June, 2022. The selected modelling solutions will be recognized as Successful Participant, Honourable Mention, Meritorious, or Outstanding.
