Central MyMail service to be decommissioned in Fall 2020

Central “MyMail” system, will be decommissioned this fall. All users currently on this system will be migrated to YUOffice’s Outlook.

Why?

The Central “MyMail” system is at end of life, and to avoid potential security issues or operational disruptions, we are migrating all active users to Outlook.

To date, the most of the University’s users have been migrated to our new system. UIT will work quickly and diligently to minimize disruption during the transition of the accounts remaining on Central “MyMail”.

When?

All accounts will be migrated from the Central “MyMail” system to Outlook by October 15th, 2020.

How?

It is essential that you schedule a time for your migration to Outlook by going to: https://yuoffice.yorku.ca/migration/. Scheduling your migration ensures that you do not lose access to your mail after October 15, 2020.

Support

All university IT groups are ready and prepared to support you as you transition to the new platform, including providing you with guidance on the transition of stored emails. One-on-on support is available on demand to help ensure a smooth transition. Please contact: askit@yorku.ca

These supports are available to both current employees and retirees who currently remain on “MyMail”.
