Technology Used in Courses

Description

Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) at York combines technology with the learning and teaching process to offer course aids.

How do I get it?

  • Course websites provide students the ability to access course information online.  Course websites developed by faculty instructors may be either of a generic nature or they may be driven by the popular Learning Management System (LMS) like Moodle.
  • iClicker Reef promotes active learning in the classroom by allowing students to easily respond to questions with their own personal devices and receive instant feedback. At the end of class, students can review the study guides to reinforce what was covered.
  • Assignment Submission services uses a product called “Turnitin”, which allows students the the opportunity to be assured that their submitted course material is free of plagiarized content and follows York’s commitment to academic integrity.
