YORK UNIVERSITY SECURITY SERVICES
Your York University Campus Security Services department is located in 227 William Small Centre at the Keele Campus and in the Greenhouse at the Glendon Campus. We are comprised of dedicated security personnel who are focused on the delivery of quality security services to all people within our community. Our service delivery model is 'community based' which means we seek collegial partnerships with community stakeholders and provide inclusive solutions to security problems for our campus that best meet the needs of the large and diverse community we serve. Our security department will always remain totally committed to the timely delivery of security services in a professional and sensitive manner, treating all persons with the utmost respect, dignity and absolute fairness.
York University Security Services is comprised of three sections: patrol, campus relations and investigations. Each partners with various community groups and or external agencies to provide a specific need to the community, whether it be; pro-active patrolling, service response, emergency response, pro-active event planning, crime prevention and safety programs, statistical analysis, outreach and liaison, as well as investigating complaints and criminal activity. Security Services has developed partnerships not only within the University community but with external agencies and organizations in order to provide a better and more efficient and effective service to our community.
The security and safety of the campus requires the cooperation and support of the whole community. Please actively participate by taking personal precautions and reporting immediately any suspicious activity to security.

911 Emergencies
In a Life Threatening Emergency call 911 Direct.
For situations where people or property is at immediate risk, for example a medical emergency, fire or a crime in progress we ask that you contact 911 directly, and then contact security services at 416-736-5333 or Ex. 33333. York Security meets and expedites emergency vehicles directly to the scene of the emergency so that valuable time is not lost searching for a particular building or
location.
