From October 14-16, 2005, YCAR hosted the Canadian Council for Southeast Asian Studies (CCSEAS) Biennial Conference on the theme "Revisioning Southeast Asia: Conflicts, Connections and Vulnerabilities". During the CCSEAS General Assembly, the members agreed that a selection of papers from the conference be published to continue the series started out by the Canadian Southeast Asian Trilateral Initiative (CSEASTI).
