Monika Verma

Monika Verma is undertaking her Ph.D. at the Institute of Social Research and Cultural Studies, National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan (R.O.C.). Her academic journey includes obtaining a master's degree in Defense and Strategic Studies from the University of Allahabad, India. Monika was recognized for her academic excellence and was awarded the prestigious Ministry of Education scholarship in Taiwan in 2018. Monika's research interests revolve around Refugee and Forced Migration Studies and Citizenship Studies. She investigates the plight of Rohingya refugees in India for her doctoral dissertation. This topic reflects her dedication to understanding and shedding light on the challenges faced by this vulnerable population.
