Yayo Vuni is a master's student in the development Studies Program at York University and holds a bachelor's degree from Acadia University, where she majored in Sociology and Political Science. Her research interest includes social justice in education and the role diasporic African women who immigrated to Canada as refugees play in developing their countries. Specifically focusing on South Sudan for her master's research project.
