Job description
Under the supervision of Professor Steven Hoffman and Dr. Susan Rogers Van Katwyk, the AMR Policy Accelerator Research Dissemination and Design Research Assistant (for up to 10 hours per week) will work closely with the Communications and Research teams to support knowledge mobilization planning and execution.
The AMR Policy Accelerator (AMRPA) is an initiative of the Global Strategy Lab, tasked with accelerating global action against AMR through research and policy innovation. We undertake three programs of work: (1) providing Advisory Services to governments, international organizations, and civil society in response to requests for evidence on AMR policy, implementation, and evaluation; (2) work with leading experts in the field to generate actionable Policy Research; and (3) support policy development and research around the world through a suite of Capacity Building programs.
Specific research activities the student(s) will be engaged in:
- Research and analyze knowledge translation options to best share research findings with research audiences;
- Peer review articles and comment on research in progress;
- Be an integral member of a cross-functional team developing knowledge translation plans on new research in the areas of public health institutions, global legal epidemiology, and antimicrobial resistance governance;
- Work closely with researchers and the communications team to create knowledge translation products that make new research accessible to policy and public audiences.
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate York student. Applicants from diverse programs of study are encouraged.
