Sheria Sawi graduated from York University in 2023 with a degree in BA (Hons) Global Health, Specializing in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. During her internship with Management4Health, where she wrote a proposal for feminist development policy in Germany, Sheria developed an interest in pursuing health policy and advocacy. Since graduating, she has remained actively involved with not-for-profit organizations, including Parkinson Canada and Rethink Breast Cancer, contributing to advocacy efforts, supporting meaningful programs, and helping empower the communities they serve. Sheria is deeply committed to health equity and advocacy, which has motivated her to join Dr. Godfred Boateng and his team in developing solutions to global health challenges.
