Job description
Under the supervision of Dr. Penney, the Advancing Equitable Global Health Research Partnerships (for up to 15 hours per week will support a research project focused on advancing equitable global health research partnerships through the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a Global Health Research and Community of Practice meeting. The meeting will bring together researchers and institutional leaders to share experiences and identify strategies for strengthening equity, accountability, and collaboration in global health research.
Specific research activities the student(s) will be engaged in:
The student will assist with preparing background documents, evidence summaries, and participant materials; supporting participant engagement and communications; and assisting with meeting logistics and administration. Following the meeting, the student will contribute to synthesizing meeting discussions, organizing project documentation, and preparing reports, briefing notes, and knowledge mobilization products.
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate student in Global Health or a related program with an interest in Global Health.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team.
- Experience with literature searching, academic writing, or event planning is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
